Wood Fired Shiboridashi
Wood Fired Shiboridashi
This hand-built and wood-fired shiboridashi is my favorite vessel for steeping tea in my personal practice. I pair it with small ceramic cups like thrones offered here.
It was hand-built and wood-fired in Czech Republic by a master teaware artist bringing attention to each carve of clay, curve of the cup and form of the footing. The color and lustre of the clay will deepen and glow from the inside over time—just like the deepening peace of mind that comes with daily practice. This living piece of art will bring your tea sessions to life and it travels especially well for tea outdoors, on adventures or across the world.
Includes: Pot and lid
Outside measurements: Approximately 3.75 inches wide by 2.75 inches tall. Holds 100 mL
Usage and care: Hand wash with warm water only after each session. Allow to air dry on a clean cloth. Store away from other kitchen wares in a tea cabinet or on a tea shelf or table.
Each is a unique piece of art and no two pieces are identical
